woke up this evening
Well. It's been 58 days. Or so radioblog says.
It has not been so much a hiatus but a stasis, and I freely admit so. Perhaps it was just a lull, but on hindsight I suppose it was more of familiarity, of routine, and doesnt the military like that so? My usual want and intrigue for exploring and hunting down new music somehow took a backseat to a cycle of WoW/ Boat/ Bookout and nothing much inbetween. Not even touching a book, watching a movie, spending real time with anyone, or just cycling again.
But you aren't here to hear all that, so I shall go on.
According to Itunes, this next song was added about a month ago, but I think I got it from fluxblog a longer time ago and just never took notice of it. It's alternative, weird, whatever you call it I do not care, but it's pure gold. No not gold, but of a breeze perhaps, a roll that uplifts and is different from anything you have ever experienced, that just makes you do a double take. It is useless analyzing emotions, for one can never accurately pin down a *feeling* in words that can always be shaped to do whatever you want. And it is the same for this song.
Could it be the unique drumbeat that never ceases to freewheelingly reverbrate without a care in the world from start to finish? Or is it the chimes that peek at you as they teasingly dart from window to window? The old but playful guitars as they strum while sitting on their rocking chairs? Or is it her voice, Maria Erikkson of Concretes fame, gently layered over each other as she pulls you in through the door?
I dont know, but hearing this makes me not care. And I can just sit and close my eyes.
Perhaps it's time to start again.
